Fajr (3' x 3')

£1,000.00

A meditation on the dawn that arrives before there is proof of it.

Dante's own Purgatorio begins at the same threshold : the moment before light is provable, when the only response is to keep facing east.

Faith, in whatever language it is prayed, begins in the dark.

The water goes still before the sky does. Colour returns slowly. Not the violence of fire, but a blush softening of the sky remembering it was never really burning.

What was tempest becomes horizon. What was wound becomes shoreline.
